• Social media (like Facebook or Instagram) is a public broadcast system. You and your memories are the product. They use your life to sell ads, and you risk losing everything, 16 years of your children’s memories, overnight if an algorithm bans your account.
• Cloud storage (like Google Drive) is a digital shoebox. It’s a utility for files, not a home for your family’s story.

Unlike social media and cloud storage, we are a private vault that allows you to interact with your family’s private, digital vault.

We designed it to fix both problems. It’s a “family-safe” space with no ads, no “doom scrolling,” and no data selling. Most importantly, our unique Inheritance System ensures your memories are designed to be passed down, so your story connects generations, safely and forever.

Aeternum is designed for anyone who believes their story is worth preserving.

Our core community is families, especially parents who want a safe, private space to build their digital legacy. But it’s also for:

This is a feeling we understand completely, and it’s the #1 reason we built Aeternum. The truth is, your memories are not safe on social media. You don’t own your account; you are borrowing it. An AI bot can permanently delete your account and all your photos and videos, with no customer service to appeal to.

Aeternum is built on the principle of ownership. You own your data. It’s a permanent, private home for your legacy, not a temporary feed for an advertiser.

Our business model is simple and transparent: We charge a fair price for secure data storage, not for access to your life.

Aeternum’s Alpha launched on 28 November 2025 and is live now, offering early access to core features.

The Beta phase is expected in Q4 2026, alongside the native mobile apps, and our official public launch is targeted for 2027.

We believe in simple, transparent pricing with no hidden fees. We offer three tiers:

Premium ($2.99/month USD): Our most popular plan, with 100GB of storage for your growing family legacy.

Legacy ($9.99/month USD): For the ultimate peace of mind, with 2TB (2, 000GB) of storage, enough for a lifetime of memories.

Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime from your Account Settings → Billing page.

If you downgrade, everything within your new storage limit stays exactly as it is.

If you are over the new limit, you will not be able to upload anything further until you either free up space or upgrade again, and content in excess of your limit may be removed — see section 05 of the User Licence Agreement for the exact terms. So it is worth bringing your storage under the new limit before you downgrade.

Not yet. Every plan today is a single account with its own storage. Shared storage across a family account is on the way — until it lands, each person needs their own plan.

Connecting to each other and sharing memories across circles is already free on every plan, including Basic.

You can update payment details and manage your plan through Account → Billing in your Aeternum settings.

All billing is securely handled through Stripe; Aeternum never stores credit card data.

You’ll be charged on the date you subscribe (your anniversary date) for monthly or annual renewals.

It means Aeternum is designed from the ground up with your privacy as the foundation, not an afterthought.

Every post, photo, and memory is private by default, and you decide exactly who can view, comment, or contribute.

This is the foundation of your trust in us, and we take it seriously.

Your memories are encrypted in transit and at rest on secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and they are private by default — visible only to you and the people you explicitly choose to share them with. Unlike social platforms, we never scan your content for advertising or profiling, and we never sell it.

To be precise about what that does and does not mean: Aeternum is not end-to-end encrypted. Some features, such as media processing, search and backup, require our systems to handle your content on your behalf. Staff access is restricted to the small number of people who need it to operate and support the platform, is logged, and is never used to browse your memories.

We store only the data you upload (photos, videos, stories, etc.) and essential account info such as your login credentials and plan type.

We do not store or access payment details, all payments are processed by Stripe.

Never. Aeternum is a subscription-based platform. Your data will never be shared or sold.

Yes. You can edit Memories, update details, and adjust Circle permissions anytime from your account dashboard.

Yes. We are building a vault, not a prison — you own your data, always.

Your files live in your Archive, Aeternum’s built-in cloud storage, and you can download any of them at any time. For a full copy of your whole account, email info@aeternumproject.com and we will prepare it for you.

Yes. Your data is yours to own.

Every file you upload lives in your Archive — an integrated cloud storage system built into Aeternum, so the same files power your memories and your sharing rather than sitting in a separate drive. You can browse your Archive and download any file from it whenever you like, no request needed.

For a complete copy of an entire account in one go, email info@aeternumproject.com and our team will put the archive together for you securely.

Memories are your digital keepsakes, photos, videos, voice notes, letters, or milestones, preserved in a secure and shareable format.

You can share Memories within selected Circles. Each Memory’s visibility is fully customizable, so only the people you choose can view or comment.

Coming soon. Collections will group your Memories around a theme or life event — “Wedding”, “Childhood”, “Family Trips” — to make browsing and storytelling intuitive for the people you share them with.

Only the Circles or individuals you select. Nothing is public by default.

A “Privacy Circle” is our “family-safe” alternative to a social media group. It’s a completely private, invitation-only space where you can share specific memories with your inner circle.

It’s designed for meaningful connection, not public performance. You can share your children’s milestones or personal reflections without any external influence, algorithms, or “doom scrolling.” It’s your digital living room, just for you and the people you trust.

Coming soon. Yes! You can create, name, and edit Circles however you like, from “Mom’s Side” to “Family Abroad.” Circles can even include sub-groups for flexible privacy control.

This is our most unique and powerful feature. On other platforms, your account is either deleted or locked in a “memorial” state, with all those precious memories lost.

With Aeternum, you stay in control. Our Inheritance Management System — arriving at our official launch in 2027 — will let you designate trusted “Digital Inheritors” and automate the secure transfer of your entire digital legacy to the next generation, so your story, your voice and your wisdom are never lost.

Email us at info@aeternumproject.com and a person will help you directly. There is no form to fight with and no queue. Tell us as much or as little as you are able to.

Right now this is handled by hand, because it should be.

What is coming

Aeternum is building a legacy and inheritance system so that the memories people share are remembered through the generations. It arrives at our official launch in 2027, and it will work like this:

• You choose your Digital Inheritors while you are here. They are picked from the connections you already trust, and you can change your mind at any time.
• Nothing transfers quietly or automatically. A claim has to be raised and verified, with documentation, and there is a window in which it can be disputed before anything moves.
• Your privacy settings travel with your memories. What you kept private stays private. What you shared with one circle stays with that circle. Inheritance passes on custody, not exposure.
• Your Digital Inheritors become custodians. They will be able to see and care for what you left, and keep it reachable for the people you chose to share it with.

Arriving with our official launch in 2027. Inheritors will have controlled access to view and manage Memories, finalise collections, and preserve the legacy for future generations.

You can name someone who is not on Aeternum yet — you do not have to wait for them to sign up before planning your legacy.

They will, however, need their own Aeternum account before anything can actually transfer to them, created against the contact details you specified. Everything you preserve stays on the platform and is only ever reached through it, which is how we can honour your wishes and keep your privacy intact rather than handing your memories to whoever happens to open an email.

It is less safe, and we would rather say so plainly.

If your Digital Inheritor has no account, the notice granting them access has to travel over a channel you nominate — email, for example. That notice can go astray, sit unread, or be intercepted by someone else. Aeternum cannot guarantee the security of a notice sent outside the platform.

We strongly recommend one of two things instead:

• Ask your Digital Inheritor to create an Aeternum account, so the notice reaches them inside the platform and nowhere else.
• If they genuinely cannot — someone elderly or without reliable internet, say — name a trusted proxy who does have an account, and who will act on their behalf.

By default, yes — all of your Digital Inheritors receive equal access to everything in your account.

If some of it is meant for particular people, you will be able to say so. A letter for one child, a set of photographs for a sibling, a message that only your partner should ever read — you decide, in advance, and we honour it.

Nothing starts on a timer, and nothing starts because we assumed something.

Someone has to come to us and ask, through Aeternum's Legacy Account Transition Process. They will need to provide documented proof of who they are, of their relationship to you, and of your circumstances — and it has to meet the bar our policies set before your account becomes a legacy account.

The full process and the policy behind it will be published when the feature launches.

The storage moves with the memories, and so does the cost of it. Your Digital Inheritors take on the space your account was using.

Where several of them share the same inherited content, they will be able to split that cost between them or assign it to one person, rather than each paying for the same files.

Yes. Inheriting someone's life is a real responsibility, and nobody is forced into it.

There will be a period in which your Digital Inheritors can consider it and commit either way. If every one of them declines, your account and its contents are handled in accordance with Aeternum's Service Agreement and policies.

We also intend to offer digital protection add-ons for subscribers in future, giving you further options for preserving your legacy beyond your presence.

Then there is nobody we can lawfully pass your account to, and data held over your storage limit becomes subject to deletion under Aeternum's policies. It is the one outcome the platform exists to prevent, so it is worth naming someone even if you are not sure yet — you can change your mind whenever you like.

They sit on top of both systems. A Legacy Message is built and stored by the same memory preservation system as everything else, and delivered through the same legacy account transition that inheritance uses.

What makes them more than a scheduled email is the conditional logic behind them. Rather than only choosing a recipient and a date, you will be able to set the circumstances under which a message should find someone — so a letter can arrive at the right moment in their life, not merely on a particular Tuesday.

Yes. You will be able to try your setup in your own sandbox — see what your Digital Inheritors would receive, and what each of them would and would not be able to see — without anything real being transferred or anyone being notified.

We would rather you discovered a mistake now than your family discovered it later.
